The Confucius Park is the largest Confucian temple in South China, covering an area of more than 300 mu (20 hectares), it was built in Sanshui Forest Park in 1994under the initiative of Mr Tang Enjia, Dean of Hong Kong Confucian Academy, and a Hong Kong-based Sanshui fellow countryman.

In 1997, Sanshui Confucius Park was completed and opened to the public, with an investment of over 30 million Yuan, it was built by modelling and as a miniature Confucian temple in its hometown. Qufun Shandong Province. But it is different from the Confucian temple in Qufu, making use of the mountainside terrain, it is majestic and splendent, just as the saying: “A mountain is famous not only for its height but also its Confucius Temple".

Sanshui ConfuciusPark is the largest Confucian ideology and traditional Chinese culture education base in South China. The characteristic activities of the Confucius Park include the first writing ceremony, thanksgiving ceremony, coming-of-age ceremony and Chinese-style wedding ceremony, etc. Confucius Park continuously exploits traditional culture and enriches the connotation of a hands-on inquiry-based learning culture. Since its opening, the park has successively won such titles as "Social Science PopularizationEducation Base of Guangdong Province", "Patriotism Education Base of SanshuiDistrict", "Environmental Education Base of Guangdong Province", and "CombatingCorruption and Upholding Integrity Education Base of Guangdong Province", etc.
