Option 1 — Guangzhou Evening Walking & Metro Tour
This is the more local and atmospheric version of our Guangzhou night walking tour. The route stays in central Guangzhou and uses walking plus public transportation, allowing us to experience traditional Cantonese food, historic architecture, the Pearl River waterfront and one of the city's busiest historic commercial streets in a single evening.
18:30 — Meet at Yide Lu Metro Station, Exit B
Meet your private local guide outside Exit B of Yide Lu Metro Station and begin the evening in one of the oldest commercial areas of central Guangzhou.
18:45 — Traditional Cantonese Dinner
Start with a proper local Cantonese dinner rather than a tourist buffet. The planned dishes include two-flavor steamed sea bass prepared with garlic on one side and a mildly spicy seasoning on the other, steamed pork ribs with pomelo peel, and a traditional Cantonese double-boiled soup.
20:00 — Sacred Heart Cathedral
Continue to Guangzhou's Sacred Heart Cathedral for its nighttime exterior view and the surrounding historic neighborhood. This stop provides a very different architectural contrast from the traditional Chinese streets visited later in the evening.
20:30 — Pearl River View from a Historic Rooftop
Visit the rooftop of a building with more than 90 years of history and look across the illuminated Pearl River. You may order a coffee or beer, sit for a short break and enjoy a quieter Guangzhou night view away from the large observation decks and cruise crowds.
21:30 — Beijing Road Ancient Street & Dafo Temple
Walk along Beijing Road, where archaeological remains beneath the modern pedestrian street reveal layers of Guangzhou's long urban history. We then continue to the illuminated Dafo Temple, or Big Buddha Temple, one of the most distinctive nighttime scenes in the old city center.
22:30 — Finish at People's Park
The tour ends at People's Park in central Guangzhou. From here you can continue your evening independently or return to your hotel by metro or taxi.

Option 2 — Private Guangzhou Night Tour by Car
The private-car route is better for visitors who want to cover a larger part of Guangzhou in one evening with less walking. It connects Shamian Island, the historic city center, Beijing Road and Zhujiang New Town, giving first-time visitors a clear view of both old and modern Guangzhou after dark.
18:00 — Pickup from Your Guangzhou Hotel
Your guide, driver and private five-seat car meet you at your hotel. The standard arrangement is intended for hotels in central Guangzhou; the exact pickup arrangement will be confirmed before booking.
18:30 — Local Wonton Noodles for Dinner
Begin with a simple local dinner of traditional Cantonese wonton noodles. It is a practical introduction to everyday Guangzhou food before the sightseeing portion of the evening.
19:00 — Shamian Island
Walk through Shamian after sunset and see its tree-lined streets and historic Western-style buildings under evening lighting. The atmosphere here is very different from both the dense old commercial center and the modern CBD visited later.
19:45 — Cultural Park or Canton Old Bund
From approximately mid-November to early December, the route can include the seasonal nighttime atmosphere around Guangzhou Cultural Park. At other times of the year, this stop is normally replaced by the Canton Old Bund riverside area.
20:40 — Beijing Road Ancient Street & Dafo Temple
Explore Beijing Road after dark, see the archaeological road remains beneath the pedestrian street and continue to the illuminated Dafo Temple. This is one of the best stops for experiencing how Guangzhou's old commercial center remains active well into the evening.
22:00 — Flower City Square & Guangzhou Night Skyline
Finish the sightseeing at Guangzhou's modern central axis. From the Flower City Square and Haixinsha area you can see the illuminated Canton Tower from outside, Haixinsha Asian Games Park, Guangzhou IFC, the CTF Finance Centre / East Tower, Guangzhou Opera House and Guangzhou Library.
23:00 — Return to Your Hotel

Choose the walking and metro night tour if you enjoy exploring streets on foot, want a more intimate experience of Old Canton and are interested in a proper Cantonese dinner and a less conventional Pearl River viewpoint.
Choose the private car night tour if this is your first visit to Guangzhou, if you prefer less walking, or if you want to see both the historical western part of the city and the modern Canton Tower / Zhujiang New Town skyline within the same evening.
