Ren Wei Taoist TempleRenwei Taoist Temple is a temple dedicated to enshrine and worship the Taoist Emperor Zhenwu. According to historical records, construction of the Renwei Taoist Temple was commenced in 1052, the 4th year of Emperor Huangyou's reign in the Song Dynasty. It was refurbished in 1622 (the 2nd year of Emperor Tianqi's reign in the Ming Dynasty), in the period 1736-1795 (the reign of Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty), and likewise during the period 1862-1874 (the reign of Emperor Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty. The temple had only three quadrangles in its middle and west in the reign of Emperor Qianlong, but when further repaired in the Qing Dynasty, on the east side and two more rear quadrangles were added when rebuilt.
Guangzhou Shishi Sacred Heart CathedralThe Shishi Sacred Heart Cathedral is one of the oldest church structures in the city, the largest of its kind in Southern China, and currently in use for worship. Shishi Sacred Heart Cathedral was the residence in the Viceroy of Guangdong and Guangxi Provinces inside the Qing Empire. Following the Second Opium War, good Sino-French Treaties of Tientsin was launched by Emperor Daoguang in February 1846.

Since the Song Dynasty ( 960~1279), Huangpu Village has played an important role in trading with foreign countries. By the time of South Song (1127~1279 ), it had become "A place where ships converge". In the later Ming and Qing Dynasties, Huangpu Village gradually developed into a harbor for foreign trade. In the 24th year during the Kangxi Reign of Qing Dynasty (1685), four customs houses were established in Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Fujian, and Guangdong respectively.
