Chimelong Safari Park Private Family Tour | Guangzhou
Chimelong Safari Park Family Tour at a Glance
Family Highlights Inside Chimelong
Why Take a Private Family Tour Instead of Visiting Alone?
Chimelong Safari Park is large enough that families can easily spend many hours walking between animal areas, waiting for transport or arriving at a show just after it has started. Guangzhou's heat and humidity can also make a long walking day tiring, particularly for young children and grandparents.
The purpose of this tour is not simply transportation to the zoo. Your guide helps plan a more efficient route around the attractions your family actually wants to see.
- Prioritize pandas, koalas, white tigers, giraffes and other animals your family most wants to see.
- Adjust the walking route according to children's energy and grandparents' mobility.
- Coordinate animal presentations, park transport and meal breaks when practical.
- Avoid unnecessary backtracking across a very large park.
- Assist with Chinese-language communication, tickets and practical questions.
- Keep the itinerary flexible when weather, crowds or children require a slower pace.
Suggested Chimelong Safari Park Itinerary
There is no single fixed route that is perfect for every family. The exact order is adjusted according to the park's current operating schedule, crowd levels, animal presentations and your family's priorities.
| 09:00 | Pickup from your downtown Guangzhou hotel. |
| Morning | Enter Chimelong Safari Park and begin with the most important animal areas for your family. Typical priorities may include giant pandas, koalas, white tigers, giraffes, elephants and primates. |
| Midday | Lunch and rest inside the park. The guide can help you identify practical dining options, but meals are paid separately. |
| Afternoon | Continue through selected animal zones, park transport routes and family-friendly attractions according to time, weather and energy level. |
| Approx. 16:00 | Safari-only guests return to their downtown Guangzhou hotel. Families continuing to the circus take a rest and dinner break before the evening performance. |
Private Vehicle Safari Section
When Chimelong's private-vehicle safari route is operating, eligible vehicles of up to 12 seats may enter the vehicle-viewing section under the park's current regulations. Motorhomes are not accepted for this arrangement.
Using a private vehicle can be particularly comfortable for families because children and older travelers can remain together in their own vehicle rather than relying entirely on shared park transport.
Peak Holiday Policy
This tour is designed as a comfortable private family experience rather than a high-volume holiday excursion.
We normally do not operate the private-vehicle version during China's May Day holiday and National Day Golden Week. These periods can attract extremely heavy visitor numbers, and Chimelong has previously introduced temporary restrictions on private vehicles in the safari driving area.
For Chinese New Year / Spring Festival and other very busy selected dates, bookings are confirmed only after we check the park's current operating notice. Weekends are normally possible, but crowd levels and official vehicle policies must still be considered.
Private Group Prices
Prices are for the entire private group, not per person. This is especially useful for families of four or more compared with tours priced separately for every participant.
| Vehicle | Guests | Safari Park Only Up to 7 Hours | Safari + Circus Up to 10 Hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5-Seat Car | 1–3 guests | US$350 | US$500 |
| 7-Seat MPV | 4–5 guests | US$500 | US$650 |
| 9-Seat Vehicle | 6–7 guests | US$650 | US$830 |
| 11–12 Seat Vehicle | 8–10 guests | US$800 | US$1,000 |
The appropriate vehicle is determined by the number of passengers, luggage requirements and the park's current vehicle-entry rules.

Chimelong Ticket and Vehicle Budget
The figures below are provided for trip planning. Chimelong may adjust prices, packages and date classifications, so the final official price should always be checked for your exact travel date.
| Safari Park Adult | About RMB 300 on regular weekdays; RMB 350 on selected dates. |
| Child / Senior Concession | Typically about RMB 210–245 depending on date and eligibility. |
| Child Under 1 Metre | Normally free under the park's applicable policy, with one eligible free child per paying adult. |
| Private Vehicle Entry | Approximately RMB 300 per vehicle on regular weekdays and RMB 350 on selected dates when private-vehicle entry is operating. |

Optional Chimelong International Circus
Families who want a full-day experience can combine the Safari Park with an evening performance at Chimelong International Circus.
The combined program is planned for up to approximately 10 hours. After leaving the Safari Park, there is time for a short rest or dinner before the circus. The vehicle and driver remain available and return your family to the hotel after the performance.
Because the exact show time and ticket packages can change, the circus schedule is checked before the booking is finalized.

FAQ: Chimelong Safari Park Private Family Tour
Is Chimelong Safari Park good for children?
Yes. It is one of Guangzhou's most popular family attractions, with pandas, koalas, tigers, giraffes, elephants and many other animals. The main challenge for families is its size, which is why route planning and pacing are important.
How long should we spend at Chimelong Safari Park?
For a private family visit, approximately six hours inside the park plus hotel transfers works well for most travelers. Our Safari Park Only service is planned for up to approximately seven hours in total.
Can our private vehicle enter the safari area?
When Chimelong's private-vehicle route is operating, eligible vehicles of up to 12 seats may enter subject to the park's current regulations and payment of the vehicle-entry fee. Private-vehicle access may be suspended during extreme peak periods.
Do you operate during China's May Day or National Day holidays?
Normally no. These are among the busiest tourism periods of the year, and temporary traffic or private-vehicle restrictions may be introduced. We prefer to protect the quality of the family experience rather than sell a tour that may spend much of the day in queues.
Can we book during Chinese New Year?
Possibly. Spring Festival bookings are confirmed only after checking the park's current operating notice, expected crowd level and private-vehicle policy for the exact date.
Are Safari Park tickets included in the tour price?
No. The private group price covers the guide, agreed vehicle, transportation and trip coordination. Travelers purchase their own attraction tickets separately so the tour price does not change whenever Chimelong changes its ticket packages.
Is the price per person?
No. Our published service price is for the entire private group. For example, a family using the same 7-seat vehicle pays one group service price rather than a separate tour fee for every traveler.
Can we combine Chimelong Safari Park and the circus in one day?
Yes. The combined option is designed for up to approximately 10 hours. You visit the Safari Park during the day, take a short dinner or rest break, attend the evening circus and return to your Guangzhou hotel afterward.
