Jizaibing

jizaibing

The old name of Jizaibing is "Xiaofengbing". An oil-baked biscuit is stuffed with pork, sugar, melon and olive seeds, and is to be eaten warm, with its crust a light golden color. It is said this biscuit was created by a workingwoman in Qing Dynasty.

As Jizibing is shaped like a chickling, it is called Chickling biscuit. The filling is made of pork, sugar, white sesame, shelled melon seeds and shelled olive seeds which mixed with spicery. The outside is made of flour, sugar and baked by oil. Jizaibing is golden and bright and crisp in properly sweet and salty. Jizaibing is now packaged and selling to Southeast Asia.
